Mesa Men's Basketball Team Eyes Run At RMAC Title

GRAND JUNCTION - It has been ten years since the Mesa State Men's basketball team last won a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship. But this year the Mavericks feel that they have a legitimate chance at a conference title again.

The Mavs received a serious blow when leading scorer Justin Ashbaugh was lost for the season with a torn ACL from a pickup game over the summer.

Senior center Kurt Bangle said that this year is the season for the Mavs to emerge as RMAC champions.
