I couldn't believe it. I checked all the news websites from CNN to TMZ in search for the truth. It was shocking news to me to find out that indeed Michael Jackson had passed away. His life was filled with controversy, but his legacy will undoubtedly live forever. (Read Blog)
When Was The Last Time You Ran 188 Miles? - 11 Comments Posted
It was the third weekend in June and I decided to take a couple of extra days off and go for a little run through the mountains of Utah. I have been running pretty regularly lately, but on that weekend I decided to push my limits a bit more. Instead of the regular 3-4 mile runs I had been doing, I decided to go for a 188 mile jog that started in Logan, Utah and ended in Park City, Utah (Read Blog)

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo - The Mesa State women's basketball team lost the bulk of its scoring from the 2007-2008 squad. The rest of the RMAC took notice, picking the Mavericks to finish fourth in the Western Division (8th overall) in the conference pre-season poll.

But the Mavericks say they are ready to prove people wrong. Head Coach Timi Brown tells 11 Sports that she doesn't put any stock in the pre-season poll, adding that she is more concerned with where the team is at in January and February.

Senior Stephanie Delgado puts a positive spin on the pre-season poll. She says that it gives the Mavericks motivation to prove their opponents wrong.

Mesa State will be put to the test early, playing a tough pre-season schedule. The Mavericks first home games are against Johnson & Wales (Colo.) and Dominican University (Calif.) on November 28 and 29. Conference play begins at home December 12 against Colorado School of Mines.
