GRAND JUNCTION - Dave Flemming's fourth season as the Mesa State women's volleyball head coach may be the most challenging season for him to take his team to the NCAA tournament.
The Mavs enter this weekends Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament at the University of Nebraska-Kearney as the seventh seed in the eight team tournament. Flemming says that his team will have to advance to the championship game to get a shot at advancing to the NCAA regionals.
It is speculated that three teams will advance from the RMAC to the NCAA tournament and most believe that UNK already has a bid locked up leaving two remaining spots for RMAC teams.
