KEARNEY, Neb. - The Mesa St. volleyball team pulled off an upset in the first round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday. On Saturday they came from behind to earn a berth in the RMAC finals.

The Mavericks trailed the Colorado School of Mines 2-0 before storming back to win 3 straight and win 3-2.

The win earns Mesa St. a spot in Sunday's Tournament Championship against Regis, who defeated Adams St. in the other semifinal.

The Mesa St. coach felt it was necessary for the team to reach the RMAC Tournament finals in order to assure themselves a bid to the NCAA Championships. Now the Mavericks will try to improve their stock by winning the RMAC Tournament.
