Lady-Cats Top Palisade In Season Opener

PALISADE, Colo. - The Fruita Monument girl's basketball team got the 2008-2009 season started with a 16 point win over the Palisade Bulldogs 47-31 on Wednesday night at Palisade High School.

The Bulldogs only scored eight points in the first half and trailed 21-8 at the break. Not a single field goal was made in the second quarter for the Bulldogs. Only three points were scored in that period and all of those came from the free-throw line.

The Fruita Monument girls will be on their home floor for the first time this season on Friday night when they host Fairview at 7:00 at Fruita Monument High School.
