Run-N-Gun Boosts Central Past Horizon

GRAND JUNCTION - A fast break offense and a confusing defense propelled the Central Warriors to a season opening 29 point win over the Horizon Hawks at the Warrior Challenge.

Michael Wiedrich, one of nine senior's on the Warriors roster, led Central with 22 points in the 64-35 victory.

Central used a fast break offense to wear down the Hawks. After each defensive rebound head coach Phil Cain would yell from the Warriors bench to push the ball up the floor.

Central was clearly in better shape than Horizon setting the pace for all four quarters of the game.

The Warriors play in the second game on Thursday against Douglas County at 5:00 p.m. MST.
