Lady Dogs Still Struggling In Early Season

FRUITA, Colo. - The Palisade girl's basketball team is still struggling to find its first win of the season after a 19 point loss to Carbon County on Thursday afternoon at the Wildcat Invitational.

Holly Odneal led the Bulldogs with eight points while Sarah Hayes scored seven in the 44-25 loss.

The Bulldogs didn't score a single field goal until Odneal scored with only 2:32 left on the clock in the second quarter. The Bulldogs shot 1-15 from the field in the first half and trailed 28-7 at the break.

Carbon County was led by Julia Potts with 10 points, Samantha Smith finished with nine points, and Emily Cox added eight points in the Dinos win.

The Bulldogs will be back on the court for day two of the Wildcate Invitational on Friday afternoon when they face the Grand Junction Tigers at 4:30 p.m.
