Flyers Beat Avs For 5th Straight Win

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Mike Richards and Simon Gagne each had a goal and two assists, and the Philadelphia Flyers won their fifth straight game by beating the Colorado Avalanche 5-2 Tuesday night.

Mike Knuble added a goal and an assist, and Jeff Carter and Joffrey Lupul also scored for the Flyers, unbeaten in regulation in their last 10 home games (8-0-2).

Carter is second in the NHL with 22 goals, two behind Buffalo's Thomas Vanek.

Paul Stastny and David Jones scored for the Avalanche, who had won three of four - including a 2-1 victory Monday at Detroit.
