Undated (AP) The fourth-longest winning streak in NBA history is over. The Boston Celtics’ franchise-record 19-game winning Streak has been snapped.

The L.A. Lakers went on a 13-2 run to close out the Celtics with a 92-83 win at Staples Center. That raises the Lakers’ home record to 15-and-1 and gives L.A. a measure of revenge in the first meeting between the teams since Boston eliminated the Lakers in the sixth game of last season’s NBA finals.

Kobe Bryant was high man for L.A. With 27 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Pau Gasol scored seven of his 20 points in the last three minutes during the Lakers’ final surge.

The victory was the 1,000th for Phil Jackson. He’s the sixth NBA coach to reach that milestone. The 63-year-old Jackson has a career Record of 1,000-and-423 in 17-plus seasons as coach of the Chicago Bulls and Lakers. He became the fastest to win 1,000 games, surpassing Pat Riley, who did it in 1,434 games.

The Lakers are 24-and-5 while the Celtics are 27-and-3.
