ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - Denver Broncos team officials are huddling Friday, on the seventh day of their search for a new head coach.

The Broncos have interviewed seven candidates over six days and are mulling whether a second round or a second wave of interviews is necessary.

Team spokesman Patrick Smyth says that, as of this afternoon, no more interviews have been scheduled.

Broncos owner Pat Bowlen hasn't indicated what his next move will be, although he wants to name a coach as soon as possible to start fixing the franchise that went 8-8 this season despite a wealth of up-and-coming offensive talent.

Bowlen stunned the league last week by firing Mike Shanahan, who was 146-91 in 14 seasons in Denver.

The Broncos won two Super Bowl titles under Shanahan in the 1990s.
