GRAND JUNCTION, Colo - The Mesa Women dropped their ninth cosecutive game, losing 66-63 at home to Chadron State on Saturday. Hannah Breidel led the team with 16 points. Courtney McCaig scored 10, including three 3-point baskets down the stretch but the Mavericks came up three points short.
The Mesa Men bounced back from a loss by beating Chadron State 77-69. Ryan Matthews led the way with 30 points. Both teams are at UC-Colorado Springs next Friday.
