Montrose Boys & Girls Down Durango

MONTROSE, Colo - The Montrose boys basketball team was on a 7-game win streak coming into Friday's game against Durango.

Seniors Nathan Robertson and Tim Koski got the Indians off to a hot start starting with Koski scoring the first two baskets for Montrose. Nathan Robertson scored a team high 24 points to lead the Indians to their 8th straight win. Montrose opens Southwestern League play with a 76-49 victory.

The Montrose girls team got 24 points from Hanna Bowden on their way to a 60-19 win over Durango. The Demons were without Kat Garcia, which helped Montrose defeat Durango by 41 points. Kaylee Walker had 8 points for the Indians and Courtney Geesing added 7.
