FRUITA, Colo - The Denver Nuggets and Fruita Parks and Recreation teamed up to sponsor a youth skills challenge on Sunday.
There were plenty of Carmelo Anthony jerseys on display, and some pretty good ball players too. Kids from seven to 14 got the chance to compete for high scores in three areas; passing, shooting and dribbling.
The kids with the best scores from each age group advance to the sectional round, and could make it all the way to the finals March 28 at the Pepsi Center.
