GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Montrose Indians stayed within single digits of the Tigers in the first half, but in the second half Grand Junction cruised to a 26-point win on Friday.

Nathan Robertson scored 15 points for the Indians and Niko Youngren added 14. Tyler Winder scored 10 points for the Tigers, but Everett Robinson stole the show with 23 points in the 74-48 Grand Junction win.

The Montrose girls continued to look strong, cooling off the Grand Junction girls who were just beginning to heat up.

Lisa Hughes led the Tigers with nine points, followed by Fawn Brady (8) and Paula Lage (6). But the Tigers were unable to keep up with the speedy Indians, who were led by Katie Abel, who made 4 three-pointers in the second quarter on her way to 15 points. Hannah Bowden added 13 and Jana Horn scored 12 in the 58-35 win..
