CLIFTON, Colo - The Central High boys basketball team saw their scoring output cut down Friday. But the result was the same, another win. The Durango Demons managed to hold Central unde the half-century mark, but the Warriors won 47-36.
Michael Wiedrich led the way with 14 points and Blaine Jackson added 11 for the Warriors. Central Hosts Montezuma-Cortez on Saturday.
The Central girls kept the pressure on league-leading Montrose with a 58-52 win over Durango on Friday.
The Warriors allowed Neely Surmeier to score 22 points, but they held Durango's star player Kat Garcia to just seven points.
Amy Kame and Haleigh Higgins each scored 17 points for the Warriors and karen Hayter added 13.
