CLIFTON, Colo - The Central Warriors boys basketball team put themselves in the driver's seat of the Southwestern League on Saturday, when they routed Montezuma Cortez by 27 points.

Clay Kame led the Warriors with 20 points in a 72-45 win over the Panthers. Blaine Jackson added 18 and Travis Key scored 10 points.

The Central girls kept the heat on Montrose by beating Cortez 70-57. The game was not even as close as the final score would indicate, with the Warriors leading by double-digits throughout the second half.

Amy Kame mixed some terrific passing along with 21 points for the Warriors. Stacey Kinnett scored 13 points in the 13 point win.
