Tigers Leave Cortez With Two Wins

CORTEZ, Colo - The Montezuma-Cortez Panthers gave the Junction Tigers a real test on Saturday. The Tigers passed the test.

The Grand Junction boys stayed on top of the Southwestern League standings with a 50-41 win. The Grand Junction girls beat Cortez 57-53.

The Tigers host the Central Warriors on Tuesday in a game that should determine the Southwestern League boys champion. On Friday the Tigers host the Fruita Monument Wildcats in the regular season finale.
