The Junior College World Series committee confirmed that two-time National League MVP and seven time All-Star Dale Murphy will be the guest speaker at the annual banquet.
Murphy will speak to the hundreds of athletes and coaches that come to Grand Junction each spring for the JUCO World Series at the dinner banquet that takes place the night before the opening day of the tournament.
Murphy also is the founder of the "I Won't Cheat" Foundation that speaks out against athletes who use performance enhancing drugs. The Foundation teaches school kids about the dangers of PED use and how to make the right choices through school and in life.
The JUCO banquet is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 22 at Two Rivers Convention Center. Tickets cost $40 per plate and go on sale on April 1. You can purchase your tickets at the Grand Junction Area Chamber Of Commerce.
