Mavs Overtake 1st Place In RMAC West

LAS VEGAS, New Mex. - The Mesa State men's basketball team held on for a one point win over New Mexico Highlands on Friday night 90-89.

As a result, the Mavericks have taken over first place in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference West Division standings with only one game left in the season.

The Mavs close out the season on Saturday night against CSU-Pueblo on the road.

The Mesa State women's basketball team picked up its second conference win of the season with the 71-66 win over the Cowgirls. Both RMAC wins for the Lady Mavs has come against Highlands.
