GRAND JUNCTION, Colo - The Central High School baseball team lost a lead to lose in their opening game of the 2009 season on Thursday. On Friday their defense held up and the offense gave just enough support to beat Golden 3-2 at the Bill Fanning Classic.
Golden led 1-0 before Central took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning. Golden tied the game 2-2 in the top of the sixth. Kyle Brown ended the game in the bottom of the seventh when he drove in Dylan Begg for the game winning run.
Central will play Corondado at 3:00pm at Canyon View Park on Saturday.
