Mesa Baseball Sweeps Highlands

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo - The Mesa State baseball team was riding a four game win streak heading into Sunday. By the end of the day the streak was extended to five games and Mesa State had swept a four game series against New Mexico Highlands.

Mesa scored two runs in the bottom of the second inning on back to back walks with the bases loaded. That's the kind of day Highlands was having as they lost to the Mavericks 10-3.

Mesa State's record improved to 17-4 (7-1 RMAC) with the victory. The Mavericks play a four game series at Colorado Christian on Friday and Saturday.
