DENVER - The Montrose Indians girls basketball team had a magical ride this season that took them all the way to the 4A state tournament's Final Four. Unfortunately, that is where the ride came to an end on Wednesday afternoon.

The number one seeded Indians took on fellow top seed Mullen Mustangs in the semi-final game. After trailing at halftime, the Mustangs came from behind to earn a 56-40 win.

Montrose's season came to an end with a 24-3 overall record. Mullen (23-4) will face the winner of the #4 Fossil Ridge vs. #1 Broomfield game for the state title.
