ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - Jay Cutler was a no-show Monday for coach Josh McDaniels' first team meeting and the start of the Denver Broncos' offseason workouts - and if he gets his way, he'll never step foot in the team's training facility again.

Team spokesman Jim Saccomano confirmed to the Associated Press on Monday that Cutler has requested a trade.

ESPN first reported that Cutler had asked for a trade through his agent, Bus Cook. Cutler is still upset that the Broncos tried to trade him for New England quarterback Matt Cassel last month. Cook is traveling and didn't immediately return messages left by the AP.

The Denver Post quotes McDaniels as saying he wants to meet again with Cutler to try to resolve their differences before considering a trade.

Cutler told ESPN he would attend every mandatory minicamp and training camp but would skip the offseason training program.

Let Cutler go he has no respect for you Josh. McDanials has lost respect among Broncos and fans and the team. Salvage what you can and lets see if you'r as good as you think you are I personally don't think you will turn a good showing this season. Go blow your nose Josh and quit whining. You blew it no class etc etc. You have lost a great QB in the NFL. Show some class
