GRAND JUNCTION, Colo - The Central Baseball team fell behind 2-0 before rallying to beat Uintah (Utah) in the final tuneup before Southwestern League play on Tuesday.
The Utes held a 2-0 lead over the Warriors through the top of the fourth inning. In the bottom of the fourth Central put up four runs and never looked back. Dylan Begg drove in Spencer Hicks with an RBI single to tie the game at 2. After that Alex Heide hit a two RBI single that scored Begg and Joe Smith.
Each team added one more run and Central came out with a 5-3 victory. John Woods picked up the win for the Warriors.
Next up for Central is the first SWL game of the season at 6:00 pm against Fruita Monument at Suplizio Field on Wednesday.
