GRAND JUNCTION - The Grand Junction Tigers scored four runs in the seventh inning without even recording a single hit to defeat the Fruita Monument Wildcats 6-4 on Tuesday night at Suplizio Field.

The Tigers trailed 4-2 heading into the top half of the seventh inning when everything went wrong for the Wildcats. The Tigers began the scoring with a sacrifice fly, added the tying run on a throwing error from shortstop to firstbase, and then took the lead on a passed ball. A second run scored as a result of the passed ball when the Wildcats tried to get the runner out at third but the throw was wild.

The Tigers (3-0 SWL) have a non-league game coming up on Thursday morning against Conifer at Canyon View Park starting at 10:00.

The Wildcats (1-1 SWL) are back on the diamond on Wednesday afternoon against Conifer at 2:00. That game will also be played at Canyon View Park.
