GRAND JUNCTION, Colo - The Grand Junction baseball team had to dig deep for a rally to come from behind and beat Fruita Monument on Tuesday. On Thursday they just had to be patient.
The Tigers took a break from league play to face the Conifer Lobos. Grand Junction took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, then won a battle of attrition, wearing down the Lobos pitching staff and finally adding six more runs in the fourth through seventh innings to secure the 8-0 shutout win and stay undefeated.
Grand Junction will go on the road at Ponderosa this Saturday, then takes the road trip to Cortez and Durango next weekend.
