Bresnan Blackout Continues

GRAND JUNCTION - Bresnan Communications costumers will once again be left in the dark for the second game of the Colorado Rockies season this spring.

Fox Sports-Rocky Mountain will air 150 Rockies games this season, 24 of them at an additional cost to FSN-RM carriers. Direct-TV and Dish Net customers will be able to see all 150 games, but Bresnan Communications declined the offer to air the additional 24 games due to increased costs that would be acquired by both the company and its subscribers.

11 Sports Director Sam Farnsworth spoke with sources that are very familiar with the situation on Tuesday and discovered that it would only cost Bresnan subscribers less than $2.00 per year to be able to watch the blacked out games.

11 Sports also contacted Fox Sports on Tuesday and was told that Bresnan Communications can choose to pickup the remaining blacked out games at any time during the season.

Games initially scheduled for blackout are still subject to change pending final decision by Fox Sports.

Actually, to post incorrect information about the cost is what is ridiculous. Who actually believes that if it only would cost the company $2.00 per year to add the games that they would have put themselves through the issue in the first place? Now that the games have been added, I have to pay for them whether I wanted to or not. Thanks a lot everyone.

To attack Sean Hogue is ridiculous, do you think as a Dish or Direct T.V. customer you would be able to reach the Vice-Pres.on his cell. Fox Sports is trying to get millions of more dollars from fans by blocking out these games, to pay outrageous salaries for ball players. If you are such a big Rockies fan then buy the additional package that Bresnan offers to be able to see all the games, but don't make every household pay for your obsession. People are having a hard time making a living and tring to save money is what Bresnan was trying to do. Kenster, Isn't that the opposite of AIG, Enron, and Madoff?

We should be thankful that Bresnan Regional Manager Sean Hogue didn't go into medicine as a career. His first response to the customer would be to pull the plug and then dance his way out of it with some lame excuses. At least in that field of professional conduct, you would feel the wrath of incompetence by being barred from practicing. But this PR field is no different from those whiz kids if AIG, Enron and Madoff, Inc. Me thinks I need to get a second opinion on being treated fairly as a customer by calling up Dish or Direct.
