BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - The University of Colorado says it's closing football practices to fans for the rest of spring because too much information about its plays has been leaked on the internet.
Coach Dan Hawkins says too many people have been watching practices and then writing about CU's formations and players' roles in online message boards and blogs.
The trouble started last year, when fans videotaped the Buffaloes' spring scrimmages with their cell phones, and the tapes ended up on the internet.
CU says the rest of this year's spring practices will be closed to the public, except for Saturday's scrimmage, the April 25 spring game and possibly the second scrimmage on April 17.
