Mavs Run Win Streak To 18

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo - The Mesa State baseball team put up big offensive numbers during a doubleheader sweep of the School of Mines on Friday.

In game one (the second game of a four-game weekend series) the Mavericks beat the Orediggers 15-3, providing plenty of runs in support of starting pticher Chris Carma.

Mesa State put up even more runs behing the ptiching of Jason Fronczak in the nightcap. The Mavericks blasted their way to an 18-5 win over the Orediggers.

The two wins improve the Mavericks record to 33-5 (23-2 RMAC). Mesa and Mines will finish the four game series Saturday at noon.
