Mavs Baseball Wins 16th Straight

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo - The Mesa State baseball team took advantage of a favorable matchup this weekend to rest Mike Provencher who has missed the last few games with a leg injury.

Even without Provencher, the Mavericks easily swept the Colorado School of Mines in a four game weekend series.

Mesa State finished the sweep with a very convincing 20-3 win over the Orediggers on Saturday. The win was Mesa State's 16th in a row and lifted their record to 34-5 (24-2 RMAC).

Next up for the Mavericks is a four game series at Metro State.
