DENVER (AP) - Josh McDaniels will begin his tenure as Denver Broncos coach Sept. 13 in Cincinnati and will have his first home game the following Sunday against Cleveland.

The Broncos' 2009 regular-season schedule, released Tuesday, offers no breaks for Denver, which faces an arduous eight-game stretch against opponents who didn't have losing records last year.

The Dallas Cowboys begin the NFC East portion of Denver's schedule, which also includes a Thanksgiving home game against the New York Giants and road meetings against the Washington Redskins on Nov. 15 and the Philadelphia Eagles on Dec. 27.

Besides the NFC East, the Broncos also play the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers (Nov. 9, Monday night) and perennial AFC contenders New England Patriots (Oct. 11), Baltimore Ravens (Nov. 1) and Indianapolis Colts (Dec. 13).
