Mavs Number One In Regional Rankings

The Mesa State baseball team continues to rise above the competition in many national rankings, but none is more important than the regional rankings that were released on Wednesday by the NCAA.

Mesa State came in ranked number one in the Central Region with Wayne State, New Mexico Highlands, and CSU-Pueblo sitting in the next three spots.

The Mavs (34-5) have won all of its games this season against opponents of the Central Region. The number one team in the region earns the right to host the NCAA Regional Tournament at the end of the season. The winner of each regional tournament advances to the Division II College World Series in Alabama.
