The day started early for the sixth seeded Mavs with a 9:00 a.m. start against the third seeded Colorado Mines Orediggers in a game the Mavs lost 6-0.
The Mavs then played in an elimination game against Adams State and won that contest 4-1 to keep its RMAC title and NCAA Super Regional birth hopes alive.
The Mavs will take on the loser of the 9:30 a.m. game on Friday between #1 Metro State and #4 CSU-Pueblo. That game will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Friday on the campus of Metro State College.
