Mesa Softball Reaches RMAC Semis

DENVER - The Mesa State softball softball team won twice on Friday while facing elimination at the second day of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament.

First, the Mavericks beat CSU-Pueblo, 7-6 in nine innings. Mesa State followed that with a 5-3 victory over Regis.

The two wins send Mesa to a semifinal matchup against Colorado School of Mines on Saturday Morning. The winner of that game will face Metro State in the *championship game Saturday afternoon.

*RMAC tournament is a double-elimination bracket. Winner of semifinal game between Mesa and Mines would need to beat Metro twice to win the championship.
