Mavs Split With CCU On Friday

GRAND JUNCTION - The Mesa State baseball team is currently ranked number one in the Central Region and are hoping to keep it that way by winning its final regular season series this weekend.

The Mavs opened the series on Friday afternoon with a 10-5 loss against Colorado Christian and finished off the double header with a 6-4 win in the night game at Suplizio Field.

Game two was won thanks to a two-run homer by Kevin Becker to left field in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The final two games of the series will be played on Saturday afternoon at Suplizio Field.
