MAJOR BOYS: Monument Wins In Walkoff Fashion

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Southwest Colorado (Cortez) was one strike away from advancing to the Major Boys All-Star semi-finals on Friday night but Monument stole the show with a walk-off hit to win the game.

Adam Prall came through in the bottom half of the last inning with the bases loaded for the game winning hit. Prall lined a single over the head of the Cortez second baseman which allowed Tanner Mast, and Anthony Estrada to score for the Monument win over Cortez 10-9.

Monument advances to the semi-final game against Grand Mesa on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Cortez has been eliminated in the Major Boys (11-12 years old) All-Star tournament.
