The Grand Mesa major boys avoided elimination and forced a decisive game against Montrose in the All-Star District 1 tournament.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo - On Sunday the Grand Mesa major boys avoided elimination and forced a decisive game against Montrose in the All-Star District 1 tournament.

Jeremy Champlain hit a solo home run and Cameron Campbell hit an RBI single driving in Cole Rupe to put Grand Mesa up 2-0. From there pitcher Dalton Weinischke and the defense did the rest. Grand Mesa held Montrose scoreless to win 2-0 and force a decisive game on Monday in the double-elimination tournament.
