DENVER - The Denver Broncos signed second-round draft pick Alphonso Smith to a four-year contract on Sunday. Terms of the deal were not realeased. The former Wake Forest cornerback was drafted No. 37 overall when the Broncos traded away next year's first-round pick to the Seahawks to acquire him.

Smith becomes the league's highest second-round pick to sign this year. Denver still has five unsigned draft picks including a pair of first-rounders; Georgia runningback Knowson Moreno and Tennessee defensive end Robert Ayers.
