ENGLEWOOD, Colo - Despite saying he wanted to be traded just weeks ago, Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall reported to camp on Monday along with rookies and other players coming off of injury. Marshal had hip surgery in March.
Camp officially begins on Friday. Marshall had stated that he would report to camp because of his contractual obligations.
It appears that Marshall intends to play in Denver this season if the Broncos do not trade him. Marshall is coming off of his first Pro Bowl and back to back 100-catch seasons. But his onfield performance has been darkened by off the field issues. He served a one-game league suspension last season for violating its personal-conduct policy.
Marshall says he wants to be paid more under a long-term contract and that he has trust issues with the Broncos medical staff.
