2 Wins, 1 Loss for Grand Mesa

** CORRECTS NAME OF YOUTH LEAGUE ** Jericho Scott, 9, warms up on the pitching mound in New Haven, Conn. Saturday Aug. 23, 2008. Officials with the Youth Baseball League of New Haven say they will disband Scott's team because his coach won't stop him from pitching. The Grand Mesa little league All-Stars claimed two State titles on Tuesday and could add one more on Wednesday.

The Grand Mesa senior boys defeated Colorado Springs 12-4. They advance to the Southwest Regionals with a spot at the World Series on the line.

The Grand Mesa major girls shut out Shaw Heights 7-0. They will face the New Mexico State champions first in the Southwest Regionals.

The Grand Mesa major boys had a chance to clinch the State championship but they lost to North Boulder. That forces a decisive game between the two teams on Wednesday.
