Little League Needs Big Help

** CORRECTS NAME OF YOUTH LEAGUE ** Jericho Scott, 9, warms up on the pitching mound in New Haven, Conn. Saturday Aug. 23, 2008. Officials with the Youth Baseball League of New Haven say they will disband Scott's team because his coach won't stop him from pitching. They say his hard throws may frighten other players in the baseball league for beginners. (AP Photo/Douglas Healey).

The Grand Mesa little league needs community support to send three teams to the Southwest Regional Tournament, just one step away from the Little League World Series.

Grand Mesa has three state champions that will be competing for a spot at the National championships.
Senior Boys
Major Boys
Major Girls

It's expensive enough to send one team to Waco, Texas (the site of the Southwest Regional) but with three teams the costs for travel, lodging and food add up very quickly.

Anyone that is able to donate cash or even gift certificates to help the teams is encouraged to contact Linda Martinez at (970) 261-2194.
