ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - Safety Brian Dawkins left Broncos training camp on Tuesday with an unspecified injury. On Thursday night it was discovered that Dawkins has a broken hand.
Dakwins had surgery to repair the hand and is expected to miss two weeks. Rookie David Bruton has been filling in for Dawkins with the first team defense.
The 35-year-old Dawkins left Philadelphia to sign a 5-year, $17-million contract with Denver over the Summer.
