BRONCOS CAMP: Preseason Being Taken Seriously

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - The Denver Broncos will be getting their first look at players other than their own on Friday night when they kickoff the preseason against the San Francisco 49ers. And head coach Josh McDaniels is taking it as seriously as he would any regular season game.

McDaniels has been treating training camp with the same preparation he hopes to establish week in and week out. He wants his players to get to the same practice and pre-game routines so that when they all take the field together for the first time on week one, it will already feel familiar.

In most preseason openers starters will only play through the first quarter. But McDaniels is taking a different approach. He will keep his players on the field for as long as he feels necessary to feel comfortable in the new system.
