LOS ANGELES (AP) - Receiver Josh Smith has transferred to UCLA after two seasons at Colorado.

Smith will redshirt this fall, leaving the junior with two years of eligibility for the Bruins.

Smith, a Florida native who attended high school in the Los Angeles area, had 1,987 all-purpose yards last year as a kick returner and a deep threat in the Buffaloes' offense. He set a school record with 1,568 return yards along with 29 catches.

He announced plans to transfer in May, saying he wanted to play closer to home. He was an honor student at Moorpark High School, about 45 miles from UCLA's campus.

UCLA also is expected to soon announce the transfer of Ohio State defensive lineman Willie Mobley, who has three years of eligibility left.
