Home opener a good one for Lady Mavs
The Mesa State women's basketball team tossed it's 0-2 record aside on Monday night and beat Northern New Mexico 83-33 in the Mavs home opener at Brownson Arena.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- The Mesa State women's basketball team tossed it's 0-2 record aside on Monday night and beat Northern New Mexico 83-33 in the Mavs home opener at Brownson Arena.
Mesa State (1-2) jumped out to a 51-10 halftime lead. Meagan Selvidge led the way with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Courtney McCaig chipped in with 13, while Jennifer Landers and Lindsey Shaw each had 10.
The Mavericks open up conference play on Friday in Lakewood against Colorado Christian University.
