GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. On Monday, Colorado Mesa's senior outfielder Austin Kaiser added two more prestigious awards to his athletic career.
Kaiser earned the Tino Martinez Award, given to the NCAA DII Player of the Year, and the Josh Willingham Award, given to the MVP of the NCAA Tournament who leads his team on and off the field.
Those honors will sit alongside his other recognitions, including Academic All-American, an honor both he and teammate Nate Robertson collected last week.
Kaiser helped lead the team to a second place finish at the 2014 NCAA Division II World Series.
