NEW ORLEANS, Louis. (KKCO) - The Baltimore Ravens held the lead to defeat the San Francisco 49ers in the final minutes of Superbowl XLVII.
After taking an early lead, the Ravens never dropped the lead. They outscored the 49ers 21-6 heading into halftime, and opened the third quarter with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
Minutes later a power outage caused a thirty-minute delay in the game, and when everything returned to normal, San Francisco returned on fire.
They scored 17 unanswered points in the third quarter alone, getting to within five of their opponents, but a Baltimore touchdown and field goal helped seal the game 34-31.
