DENVER, Colo. (KKCO) - Von Miller found himself sitting in a jail cell Sunday, albeit for not very long.

Miller was arrested at the Centennial Gun club on a 'failure to appear' warrant according to Arapahoe County undersheriff Dave Walcher. It is unclear whether Miller was attempting to purchase a gun or concealed-carry permit, however the background check ran by the gun club red-flagged Miller for an outstanding warrant. Shortly after his arrest, Miller posted the $1,000 bond and was released.

Miller is currently facing a four-game suspension from the NFL for allegedly violating the league's substance abuse policy, and he will meet with league officials Thursday.

In 2011 Miller was placed in the NFL's substance-abuse program after testing positive for marijuana and an undisclosed amphetamine.
