GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Colorado Mesa's baseball team has been in action for over a month, already with seven games to their name, and this weekend they open conference play.

The Mavs have taken on a 5-2 record with their only losses coming against University of Northern Colorado. Still, the Mavs came away with both player of the week honors - one to pitcher Nevin Wilson and the other to outfielder Austin Kaiser.

With plenty of preseason work behind them they're ready to begin play in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on the road against Colorado Christian for a doubleheader this weekend.
