GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Colorado Mesa baseball team put in one final practice at Bergman Field Tuesday afternoon, and now they're on their way to Kingsville, Texas for regional play.

Though Mesa will head into the tournament as the number two seed, opposite a five-seed, like any game it won't be a walk in the park.

The St. Mary's Rattlers come in as the Texas team with the most history in the tournament. According to Coach Hanks he believes they're arguable a number one type of seed, but due to a few losses toward the end of the season, St. Mary's fell back.

Now the Mavericks have to go in with their heads high and their confidence even higher in order to avoid a fourth straight season-finish at regionals, and they know what they need to do.
